Indications  for  IVF treatment (In  Vitro  Fertilization)  and  ICSI  with  Dr. Charles  MPL.

        IVF  is  indicated  when  alternative  treatments  are  either  unlikely  to  achieve  pregnancy  or  have  failed  to  result  in  pregnancy.
       
        If  you  have  blocked  fallopian  tubes  or  extensive  pelvic  adhesions  preventing  your  egg  from  entering  the  fallopian  tubes,  IVF  is  indicated.
        If  you  have  severe  endometriosis  and  are  unable  to  conceive  in  spite  of   one  or  more  operations,  IVF would  offer  a  better  chance  of  conception.
        If  you  have  already  attempted  several  cycles  of  ovulation  induction  with  or  without  intra-uterine  insemination,  the  next  logical  step  is   to  move  on  to  IVF.
       If  your  husband’s  semen  shows  very  few  normal  moving  sperms,  too  few  to  be  able  to  fertilize  your  egg  in  the  normal  way  in  your  fallopian  tube,  IVF   ICSI  is  indicated.
        One  view  is  that  when  your  husband  has  sperms  that  are  less  than   5%   normal  forms,  less  than  5%  with  directional  movement  and  less  than  5  million  per  ml,  IVF  can  be  considered.
        If  your  husband  has  no  sperm  in  his  semen  but  has  live  sperm  in  his  testes or  epididymis,  these  can be  collected  by  a  Urologist,  stored  in  a  frozen  state  and  thawed  to  be  used  for  IVF  by  intra-cytoplasmic  sperm  injection  (ICSI ).

Indikasi untuk IVF (In Vitro Fertilisasi) dan ICSI

        IVF diindikasikan jika penanganan alternatif  tidak memungkinkan terjadinya kehamilan atau telah gagal menghasilkan suatu kehamilan.
        Jika anda memiliki tuba falopii yang tersumbat atau perlengketan pelvis yang luas sehingga menghalangi telur anda memasuki tuba falopii, maka IVF menjadi pilihan yang tepat .
        Jika anda mengalami endometriosis berat dan tidak dapat hamil walaupun telah menjalani satu atau lebih operasi, IVF akan menawarkan sebuah kesempatan yang lebih baik untuk konsepsi.
        Jika anda sudah berusaha melakukan induksi ovulasi beberapa siklus dengan atau tanpa inseminasi intra-uterus, langkah berikutnya yang logis adalah beralih ke IVF.
        Jika semen suami anda menunjukkan sangat sedikit sperma normal yang bergerak, terlalu sedikit untuk mampu membuahi telur anda melalui jalan yang normal di tuba falpoii anda, IVF ICSI menjadi pilihan yang tepat.
        Suatu pandangan jika suami anda memiliki sperma kurang dari 5 % bentuk normal, kurang dari 5 % dengan pergerakan langsung dan kurang dari 5 juta per ml, IVF dapat dipertimbangkan.
        Jika suami anda tidak mempunyai sperma dalam semen tetapi terdapat sperma hidup di dalam testis atau epididimis, sperma-sperma ini dapat dikumpulkan oleh Urolog, disimpan dalam keadaan beku dan dicairkan untuk digunakan pada  IVF melalui injeksi sperma intra sitoplasma ( ICSI / Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection ).
